The Garden of 1000 Faces
Creating a culture of consent, one portrait at a time
The Garden of 1000 Faces is a growing global portrait series by GG that explores what it means to be seen—authentically, and on one’s own terms. Born during quarantine, the project began as a lifeline for connection and has since evolved into a collaborative ritual of care, storytelling, and presence.

Every portrait begins with a question: May I paint you? This simple yet radical act centers consent in the creative process. Participation is never assumed; it’s offered, accepted, and respected. In a world that often overlooks or objectifies, The Garden creates a space where people can show up fully—without performance, without pressure.

Each painting is a reflection of the person’s energy, not just their likeness. For many, it’s a moment of self-recognition and return—an experience of being witnessed without judgment. Together, these portraits form a visual archive of humanity in all its complexity: joyful, messy, resilient, and real.

The Garden of 1000 Faces is more than a collection of paintings. It is a movement toward a more caring, consent-centered world—where people are invited to be seen with tenderness, and on their own terms.
